This handsome fellow is Mack. He is a 2 year old Puggle (Pug/Beagle Mix). His story is both interesting and sad. He went to the shelter as a stray dog. The shelter scanned him for a microchip and he had one. They contacted the owners and they said “Oh he was stolen a few months ago and we have now moved to a place that doesn’t allow pets so we won’t be coming to get him”. How sad is that? Well their loss is PPR’s gain because he is the best boy you could ask for! Mack gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home. You will often find him out in the yard having a good ole game of chase with his friends. He is also a great help with the other dogs. For instance, when we took Duncan in, the young puggle puppy, his foster mom could tell Mack to take Duncan outside to potty and Mack would do just that! He is very smart! One of the great advantages of a puggle is that with their longer nose they don’t have some of the breathing issues that a full blooded pug does. Mack will go for a three mile walk and when it’s over look at you as if to say “that’s it?”. He would be perfect for someone who likes to get out and go for a hike!
Mack is very athletic! He can jump every baby gate in his foster home like it isn’t even there! For that reason we would like him to have a home with a fenced in yard that is a minimum five foot high. His foster home has a five foot fence and he doesn’t even attempt to jump it.
You truly will not find a more perfect dog than this one.
