Everyone say hello to sweet angel Pixie.  Pixie is about 11 years old and has found herself in need of a forever home after her prior owner passed away.  We believe she is a Chug (Pug/Chihuahua mix).  Pixie is a very laid back girl who spends a lot of her day snoozing.  As you can see she is a little overweight……ok, a lot overweight!  When she came into rescue we immediately put her on a diet however we found she wasn’t losing weight so we had her thyroid checked and it was not functioning as it should so she is now on thyroid pills every day.  As they kick the thyroid into high gear she will start to lose weight.  The thyroid pills are very inexpensive (less than $20/month).  She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home and only gets annoyed when they step on her while she is sleeping.  Even then she just gives them a quick bark to let them know she is not happy with them doing that.  She would make a wonderful companion dog!

Pixie is spayed, current on vaccines, housebroken, and microchipped.
