Pugsley

This lady is a totally charmer!  Her name is Pugsley and she is six years old.  We can tell you that Pugsley was very loved in her prior home.  She ended up in rescue after her prior owner found himself facing homelessness.  He didn’t want her to have that type if life so he reached out to PPR for help and we gladly took this sweetheart into rescue.

Her prior owner told us that Pugsley was getting lazy with her potty habits.  This was a red flag for us so the foster mom kept a close eye on her.  Initial thoughts were urinary tract infection.  She visited the vet and she did test positive for a UTI.  After seven days on meds nothing changed.  Back to the vets she went and her foster mom requested an x-ray to check for bladder stones.  The x-ray was done and her bladder was VERY full of stones!  The vet came in early one morning to do the surgery before the practice even opened because the surgery schedule was so full and he didn’t want her to wait.  Because of the stones she absolutely MUST remain on prescription c/d food and treats.  No other food or treats!  If she eats other things she will get bladder stones again!

Post surgery she is doing absolutely wonderful!  She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home but was an only dog in her last home so she can thrive in either situation.  We do not know how she would do with cats.

Pugsley is current on vaccines, heartworm negative, spayed, and microchipped.
